Essences of Light: A Fusion of Architecture and Art

The L-shaped architectural structure, adorned with extensive glass curtains and bricks, creates a dynamic interplay of light throughout the day. This design element not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the building but also introduces a unique, ever-changing ambiance within the space. The designers' inspiration for this project stems from the idea that spaces signify the presence of the building, the thoughts of the mind, and the extensions of self-worth and meaning.

The design's unique properties lie in its ability to extend the sense of sight. Glass walls between the courtyard and the indoor space intensify this expansive visual experience. The natural strength of verdant plants and glittering sunlight intertwine to form an impressionistic painting, further enhancing the visual appeal of the space.

The design realization technology involves the use of column-free structures, which visually heighten the indoor space. The consolidations of fair-faced concrete walls, delicate grey bricks, elegant wall shelves, and long tables have been used to create a capacious office. The open-style design extends visual perceptions and establishes smooth traffic flows concurrently.

The project, completed in January 2018 in Yilan City, Taiwan, covers a space of 236 square meters. The design faced challenges in maintaining an open-style layout while ensuring smooth traffic flows. However, these challenges were creatively overcome, resulting in a space that is pure, intriguing, and magnificent.

The "Essences of Light" design was awarded the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. The award is a testament to the design's strong technical characteristics, splendid artistic skill, and its ability to introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
